Qualifica Unimed Program
A partnership between Unimed do Bra-
sil, Unimed Foundation and Sescoop/OCB
Nacional launched the Qualifica Program.
The Unimed System Supplementary
Health Operators and Own Services Qual-
ification and Accreditation Program aims
at carrying out the qualification of em-
ployees and managers in the quality man-
agement process according to the ANS
Accreditations methodology (ONA), Nor-
mative Resolution no. 277 and ISO 9001,
for the network accreditation/certification
in the mentioned standards. Simultane-
ously, it will incentive the continuous stra-
tegic assessment as a strategic measure for
the desired correction of imperfections in
organizational processes, the information
asymmetry decrease, and the provided as-
sistance quality increase.
National Interchange
From January to December 2014, over
2.6 million beneficiaries had around
65 million assistances in the national
interchange, moving over R$ 12 billion.
Unimed provides assistance to its be-
neficiaries practically all over the natio-
nal territory, set forth among Unimeds
by means of standards, regulations and
guidelines. This reach is possible thanks
to the advantages of the National Inter-
change made available by Unimed to its
clients, allowing them to be assisted at
any of the operations spread throughout
the country. And to monitor the servi-
ces provided through this system, Uni-
med do Brasil created the
Electronic In-
terchange Ranking
in 2009, and as from
2015 it standardized monitoring focused
on the quality of assistance and invoi-
cing processes.
“Since the end of 2012, when it
was reformulated, the Unimed
do Brasil interchange area
has displayed a new work
model to the Unimed System,
in which the premises derive
from transparency and team
quality in their respective
actions. This way, our objective
is to feasibilize and qualify the
strategic relationship in the
Unimed System to guarantee
quality medical and hospital
assistance, through the member
acknowledgement.”
Dr. Valdmário Rodrigues Jr
Chief Cooperativist Integration and
Market Officer of Unimed do Brasil
What is a Unimed beneficiary in
interchange?
It is the assistance provided to a beneficiary
having an agreement with a given Unimed,
but who may be assisted at the other Uni-
meds – out of over 300 health operators –
according to the geographic area set forth
in their agreement.
