Sustainable Development
A systemic concept translated into a global development model incorporating the economic, social and environmental
development aspects.
Greenhouse Effect Gases
Atmosphere gaseous constituents, natural or anthropic, absorbing and re-emitting infrared radiation. According to the Kyoto Protocol,
they are: Carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), sulfur hexafluorine (SF6), accompanied by two gas families,
hydrofluorcarbons (HFCs) and perfluorcarbons (PFCs).
Stakeholders
Interested or intervening parties. This is an English word widely used in the communication, administration and information
technology areas the purpose of which is to designate the most importance persons and groups for a strategic planning or a business
plan, that is, the interested parties.
Value Chain
It comprises all upstream and downstream links in the company. Upstream, there are suppliers, sub-suppliers, producers and service
providers, and the term “supply chain” applies to them. Downstream the company, there are the distributors and end clients (Source:
ISO26000, GRI, GVCes).
