Materiality Matrix
The survey with our relationship public asked them to select a grade
from 1 to 5, to wit: 1 – irrelevant; 2 – little relevant; 3 – neither relevant,
nor irrelevant; 4 – relevant; 5 – very relevant; for each topic pre-select-
ed by Unimed do Brasil. Out of the 29 pre-selected relevant topics, all
received grades from 4 to 5, showing that the 29 proposed topics are
significant for management in the Unimed System.
After we analyzed the relevant topics from two standpoints (impor-
tance for the Unimed System and importance for the relationship pub-
lic – stakeholders), we prioritized eight relevant topics, hereinafter
referred to as “Material Aspects”, and three topics referred to as “Trans-
versal”. This definition took into account these topics revision process
in 2015, basing on the materiality process carried out in 2014 and re-
ported in the previous sustainability report. The criterion employed to
define these topics was agreed according to the topics localization in
the illustration below.

We understand that, just like non-listed emerging subjects may be-
come significant along time, some of the relevant topics listed and not
deemed as “Material Aspects” may also emerge depending on the or-
ganization internal and external contexts, and therefore will also be
covered by this report.
