General Meeting

Composition:

Confederated Unimeds delegates

Attributions:

The Annual or Special General Meet-

ing, comprising the Confederated Unimeds dele-

gates, is the Confederation supreme body within

legal and by-laws limits, having powers to decide

affairs regarding the subject matter and adopt con-

venient resolutions for its development and defense.

Meetings frequency:

• Annual General Meeting: Once a year

• Special General Meeting: Upon demand

Unimed Forum

The body is responsible for conserving the Unimed

Cooperative System principles and keeping the Sys-

tems integrity – and harmony among the societies

composing it – besides assuring integrated actions.

In 2014, two Unimed Forum meetings were held.

Arbitration Chamber

The Arbitration Chamber comprises the 21 arbitrators

elected by the Unimed do Brasil Confederative Board at

the first meeting after the AGM (Annual General Meet-

ing) electing the Unimed do Brasil Management Board,

seven of them being Federation officers, seven Singu-

lar society officers, and seven technicians linked to the

Unimed Cooperative System, for a four-year tenure.

Normative Chamber

The Normative Chambers comprises the presidents of

Unimed do Brasil – Medical Cooperatives Confedera-

tion, of Federations of any type whatsoever affiliated to

the Confederation, and of the Unimed National Center.

Independent Audit

Body responsible for checking whether the account-

ing and financial statements adequately reflect the

reality of Unimed do Brasil. It assesses controls effec-

tiveness and legal requirements adherence, issuing

the respective opinions. The Management Board is

responsible for the independent audit hiring and pos-

sible dismissal.
