The Unimed Social Balance external indicators also make it possible to assess the com-

mercial fomentation carried out between Unimed and other cooperatives, independently of

their field of activity or operation segment. Some of these services comprise diverse labor

provided by cooperatives, general-use products purchased from consumption cooperatives,

professionals cooperatives services (taxi drivers, physiotherapists, dentists), among others.

In 2014, the total value of purchases from other cooperatives surpassed R$ 364 million in

the consolidated of the 231 Unimeds which reported this indicator, a 19.75% increase in the

purchases total value in comparison with the previous year.
