Since the second semester of 2013 the training and

development programs of Unimed do Brasil un-

derwent a reformulation seeking to contribute for

the persons and the Unimed System development,

with focus on educational competences to promote

Knowledge Management and a better business man-

agement. Also in this same period the Human Devel-

opment (HD) area was created, which besides internal

training became responsible for the coordination of

the National Human Development Committee (NDH)

and for planning the Unimed System strategic issues

training and development.

One of the challenges is to feasibilize the continued

education plan both for employees and leadership of

Unimed do Brasil and for the System. Unimed do Brasil

believes that the investment in Formal and Continued

Education is one of the factors contributing for com-

panies to successfully attract and retain talents. For the

program to be able to bring gains for employees – and

for the company as well – it is necessary to establish

criteria and a very close follow-up; otherwise it be-

comes just another benefit without mutual effort.
