Unimed Foundation
The Unimed Foundation, an educational institution of the Unimed System, works to meet the
needs of cooperatives in education andmanagement advisories. With the Unimed System grow-
ingly as its priority and paramount public, the Unimed Foundation reassessed its capabilities, re-
designed its positioning and rewrote its business vision. The objective is to be more andmore the
educational benchmark institution in the health, management and cooperativism areas. Aware
of its role importance, one of the main initiatives was the free of charge provision to the entire
Unimed System of over 80 online professional qualification in the Cooperativism, Assistance,
Finance, HR, Management and Leadership areas, among others. Besides, two new trainings were
incorporated to the package: Health Insurances Regulation and Accounting and Corporate As-
pects of a Cooperative. There were over 13 thousand people enrolled. The goal is that all employ-
ees and members be qualified until the end of 2015.
Human Development National Policy (PNDH)
The Unimed System Human Development Nuclei act in a strategic way through knowledge
management, innovation and integration, developing actions contributing to the human pro-
motion of its members, employees, clients and the community, in the following topics: Educa-
tional, scientific, cultural, environmental and social.
The PNDH objective is to systematize solutions promoting knowledge management and hu-
man development; encourage the quest for solutions assisting in the medical cooperativism
model innovation; foster institutional actions and partnerships connected to educational, sci-
entific, cultural, environmental and social areas; and integrate projects and activities existing
in the Unimed System which potentialize and add value to the business.
